Dr. Zarin Kob

Dr. Abdul Hossein Zarin Kob was born in Borujard in 1301 AH. Dr. “Zarin Kob” completed his primary education in his hometown. In 1324, after he was ranked first in the entrance exam of the Faculty of Reasonable and Communicable Sciences and the Faculty of Literature, he entered the Department of Persian Literature at the University of Tehran

By all means, “Abdul Hossein Zarin Koob” graduated from the university in 1327 as a first-ranked student, and the following year he entered the doctoral course in the field of literature at the University of Tehran. After receiving the rank of professor at Tehran University (1339), he worked for some time at Tehran University and the Ph.D. course in Persian Literature of Tehran University and at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts

In the years 1347 to 1349, he moved to Tehran University as a visiting professor in the University of California and Princeton to teach humanities and worked in two departments of history and literature
Dr. “Abdul Hossein Zarin Kob” passed away on 24 September 1378 due to heart, eye and prostate diseases
Dr. “Abdul Hossein Zarin Koob” is the author of books such as
“Neither Eastern, nor Western, human” (including 34 articles) – 4th edition 1375 – “Bahr Dar Kozeh” (criticism and interpretation of Masnavid stories and parables) – 1366 – 6th edition 1374 – “Rozgaran” (History of Iran from the beginning to The fall of the Pahlavi dynasty) (3 volumes) – 1378 “Iranian Sufism in its historical perspective” (translated by Majaduddin Kivani) – 1383
