Loris Cheknavarian

“Loris Cheknavarian” was born in 1316 in Borujerd, his parents were Armenians and had become refugees in Iran
“Cheknavarian” begins music at the High Music Conservatory and when he was almost 16 years old, he composed his first piece, which was a concerto for violin and string orchestra
He studied music for many years at the Vienna Academy of Music and at the Salzburg Mozarteum, and in 1961 he graduated from the Vienna Academy of Music in the field of composition with the first rank
“Cheknavarian” will be chosen as the head of the National Radio of the Ministry of Culture and Arts some time later
From 1970 to 1966, Cheknavarian was a professor at Concordia College, professor and head of the Department of Opera and Orchestral Instruments at the University of Minnesota. He also studied orchestra conducting at Michigan University of Music and graduated in this field, which will be the main part of his activities in the future
